Charlie Cole

Charlie Cole is a workplace investigator and psychosocial risk consultant with over 20 years’ experience across policing, regulatory enforcement, and occupational health and safety.

She served for 11 years with both New Zealand Police and Victoria Police, where she developed extensive expertise in evidence gathering, investigative interviewing, and the preparation of complex matters for court. During this time she built a strong investigative foundation grounded in fairness, procedural integrity, and the careful assessment of evidence.

Charlie then spent a further 11 years with WorkSafe Victoria as a specialist Psychosocial Inspector, overseeing employer compliance with occupational health and safety legislation and the management of psychosocial hazards in the workplace. In this role, she conducted workplace inspections, investigated complaints, and worked closely with organisations to identify risks and implement effective systems to protect employee health and safety.

Through her combined experience in policing and regulatory enforcement, Charlie has developed a deep understanding of workplace investigations, psychosocial hazard management, and the practical challenges organisations face when responding to complex workplace issues.

Charlie brings a balanced, impartial, and evidence-based approach to investigations and consultancy, helping organisations navigate sensitive matters while meeting their legal and safety obligations.
